Monster Monstera surprises us all

It's not unusual to have a happy Monstera

But then look what it did. What's that at the base of the new leaf?

It got bigger . . . . . and bigger . . . . . and bigger !

Then it started to open up.

Inside was a cone-like structure exuding lots of pollen.

The cone gradually turned more yellow and smelt sweet.

I couldn't resist tasting it. It was delicious! Perhaps that's why this plant is called Monstera Deliciosa
