Growing Your Own Pomegranate Tree Like This
From Seed!

20180514_122546.jpg
  1. Take a paper cup and write your name, today’s date, and “Pomegranate” on the cup.

  2. Put compost into the cup until it is nearly full. Leave a little space at the top. Make it flat gently with your fingers. Don’t squash it down.

  3. Clean the juicy pulp off 3 or 4 pomegranate seeds. Put the seeds on top of the compost. Don’t push them down.

  4. Sprinkle a little more compost on top of the seeds. Pat it gently flat.

  5. Water the compost very gently, like a little rain cloud. Don’t make it too wet. Wait until the soil looks a little dry before watering again.

Once You've Planted Your Seeds...

Water Them as a Cloud Does . . .

6. Put the lid on the cup and keep it somewhere warm in your home.

7. Don’t take the lid off yet. Watch carefully to see if little plants start growing.

8. When you see even one tiny plant, take the lid off and put the cup on a bright windowsill.

9. Every couple of days, touch the soil to see if it feels dry. Only give a little water when it starts to dry. Don’t flood the soil with too much water.

...And the Journey Begins
